Procházka desátý na Českém poháru a třetí v U23 na Memoriálu Jana Veselého
Michal Procházka z Favoritu Brno obsadil desáté místo na závodě Českého poháru v Hrabyni a v kategorii U23 byl klasifikován pátý. „Závod se jel na poměrně náročné, ale spravedlivé trati. Michala musím pochválit, jel velice dobře. O náročnosti závodu vypovídá fakt, že v cíli bylo klasifikováno jen 20 závodníků, ostatní byli staženi,“ informoval šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal. Závod vyhrál Dominik Neuman z týmu Elkov Kasper. Kromě Procházky startovali ještě Kmínek, Čekal, Kopelent a Křenek. „Petr Hampl je po zlomenině ruky. Před týdnem mu sundali sádru a už začal trénovat. Michal Rotter má bohužel taky zlomenou ruku, takže jsme oslabeni,“ prozradil šéftrenér. Procházka o sobě dal vědět už v sobotu na Memoriálu Jana Veselého v Ostravě, kde byl třetí v hodnocení kategorie U23 a celkově devátý. Závodníci Favoritu se v uplynulých dnech objevili i na dráze. Na UCI závodě GP Olomouckého kraje statečně bojovali Čekal, Křenek a junior Široký. „Nejsme sice čistokrevní dráhaři, ale někteří naši kluci dráhu umí a potvrdili to i v souboji s mezinárodní konkurencí v Prostějově. Vyzdvihl bych především osmé místo Čekala ve scratchi, v madisonu byli spolu s Křenkem desátí a Široký skončil s prostějovským Smékalem dokonce na osmém místě,“ řekl František Trkal. O víkendu se dařilo i mládeži Favoritu. Juniorský tým ovládl sobotní závod Carla Kriterijní ligy v Ostravě Porubě. Závod vyhrál Štěpán Široký a na pódium ho doprovodil Marek Jelínek, který obsadil 2. místo. V nedělním závodě Českého poháru Techniserv Cup se nejlépe umístil Marek Jelínek, který obsadil osmé místo, Daniel Vysočan dokončil na 10. místě, Viktor Padělek obsadil 16. místo a dvacítku nejlepších uzavřel Jakub Janíček.
