Trenér juniorů Dukly František Trkal: Byla to fantastická sezona juniorů
Cyklističtí junioři Dukly Praha za sebou mají velmi dobrou sezonu okořeněnou řadou medailí z mistrovství republiky i vítězstvími v dalších důležitých závodech. „Když si sezonu zpětně přehraju, těžko můžu při jejím hodnocení použít jiná slova než fantastická nebo skvělá,“ řekl trenér František Trkal. Tým Dukly působil v roce 2024 ve složení Adam Bradáč, Adam Frajbiš, Šimon Matějek, Kristián Vavro, Filip Richter, Aleš Icha, Jan Faltýnek a Ondřej Michalovič. „V podstatě v každém důležitém závodě jsme byli na pódiu. A formu jsme potvrzovali od jara do podzimu. Jednoznačně bych vyzdvihl týmové pojetí, protože kluci táhli za jeden provaz,“ přiznal trenér Dukly. Na dráze získali junioři Dukly hned 4 tituly: Richter vyhrál vylučovací závod, Bradáč bodovačku, Frajbiš s Richterem madison a čtveřice Bradáč, Matějek, Vavro, Frajbiš brala zlato ve stíhacím závodě družstev. Vavro navíc přidal titul vicemistra republiky ve stíhacím závodě a Bradáč v omniu i ve scratchi. Na silnici obhájila Dukla titul v časovce družstev (Matějek, Bradáč, Faltýnek, Vavro), Faltýnek skončil na domácím šampionátu třetí v silničním závodě jednotlivců a druhý byl v celoroční soutěži Brilon Cup. Do desítky se v něm dostali ještě třetí Bradáč, šestý Vavro a devátý Matějek. V soutěži týmů v domácím poháru brala Dukla druhé místo. „Jsou to fantastické výsledky, kterých si vážím. Dařilo se nám i na mezinárodních závodech. V Cottbusu jsme byli třikrát na pódiu, na Slovensku jsme v závodech N-Cupu vybojovali dvě pódiová umístění a ještě vítězství ve vrchařské soutěži. Byla to sezona snů a upřímně říkám, že bude hodně těžké na ni navázat. Rád jsem s klukama pracoval, byla to skvělá skupina,“ řekl František Trkal.
