Hampl se v nabité konkurenci neztratil
Favorit Brno má za sebou první závodní víkend na domácí půdě. V sobotu jsme startovali na VC Hlohovce, v neděli na tradiční klasice Velká Bíteš-Brno-Velká Bíteš, zahajovacím závodě Škoda Cupu.
Po oba dny byl z našich cyklistů nejlepší Petr Hampl – v sobotu skončil 8., v neděli 11. „Na obou závodech se sešla skvělá konkurence, protože v Polsku ani Rakousku nebyly závody a jejich výborné týmy dorazily k nám. Proto umístění Petra Hampla po oba dny považuji za velmi solidní,“ řekl šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal.
„Na Bíteši jsme dlouho měli ve hře o čelní příčky ještě Adama Sekaninu. Jel ve skupině s Hamplem a Šormem, ale deset kilometrů před cílem ho chytly křeče a odpadl. Je to škoda, ale nedá se nic dělat,“ přiznal šéftrenér. „Z celkového pohledu nemůžu být nespokojen. Petr ukázal hned v úvodu sezóny, že je na tom hodně dobře a pro Favorit je to dobrý začátek.“
Favorit startoval v sestavě Sekanina, Hampl, Kmínek, Rotter, Procházka, Kulhánek, Voneš, Šorm v dresu jakési farmy za nás jeli i Němec a Šimek. „Dvě třetiny týmu jsou všechno prvoročáci a je to pro ně veliký skok. Těžko můžeme čekat, že hned začnou v takové konkurenci dělat výsledky, ale bojovali a mají předpoklady, aby se zlepšovali,“ uvedl František Trkal.
