Procházka a Gruber v top 20 na mistrovství republiky
Dva závodníci Favoritu Brno se v silničním závodě jednotlivců mužské elity na mistrovství republiky v Mladé Boleslavi dostali do top 20. Michal Procházka skončil osmnáctý, Pavel Gruber o místo za ním. Z dalších cyklistů Favoritu byl Petr Hampl 28., David Kulhánek 33., Adam Doležal 39. a Adam Křenek 45. Vojtěch Kmínek, který jel dlouho v úniku, nedokončil. „Byl to hodně náročný závod, kluci nastoupali skoro tři tisíce metrů. Věřil jsem, že by ta trať mohla sedět lidem, jakou jsou Hampl, Procházka nebo Gruber. Nakonec máme dva lidi v top 20, což není v té konkurenci špatné a zhruba to odpovídá možnostem kluků. Možná jsem čekal trochu víc od Petra Hampla, ale vnitřně jsem spokojen. Pořád jsme se pohybovali v hlavní skupině, a když se to dělilo, došlo pod kopcem k hromadnému pádu, kde tři naši závodníci zůstali. Neříkám, že by tam pak stoprocentně byli, ale šance na lepší výsledek by byla větší. Nedá se nic dělat. Do cíle dojelo jen 45 lidí a hned šest bylo od nás, takže to rozhodně není špatné,“ zhodnotil vystoupení šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal.
