Prvním opravdu důležitým startem pro Favorit bude 18. 7. úvodní díl Českého poháru v Záboří. „Tam už bychom chtěli přijet v co nejlepší formě. Neříkám, že závodů, které nás čekají teď, se jedeme jen zúčastnit, ale těžko odhadovat, jak na tom kdo bude, když jsme nezávodili,“ uvedl František Trkal. Protože je hlad po závodech velký a v Evropě se skoro nezávodí, dá se i na akcích menšího formátu čekat hodně slušná konkurence. Cyklisté Favoritu Brno absolvují po Slovenském poháru v sobotu Memoriál Aloise Dohnala u Nového Jičína, další víkend v sobotu prestižní Krakonošův cyklomaraton a v neděli veřejný závod v Olomouci.
