Soustředění v Chorvatsku: tvrdý trénink i závody
Silniční tým Favoritu Brno má za sebou dvoutýdenní tréninkový kemp v Chorvatsku, který vyplnily i tři závody. Naši cyklisté absolvovali jednorázovky Umag Trophy, Poreč Trophy a etapový závod Istrian Spring Trophy. „Závody jsme jeli z plného tréninku a nijak jsme na ně neladili. Ani jsme před nimi nějak speciálně neodpočívali, normálně jsme trénovali. Brali jsme to hlavně jako starty na rozjetí ve skvělé konkurenci,“ řekl po návratu trenér František Trkal. „V těch závodech jsme se nějak extra neprosazovali, ale z celkového pohledu jsme je zvládli dobře. Byla tam obrovská konkurence, 180 závodníků z 30 týmů. V takové možná kluci už celou sezónu nepojedou. Cítím, že nám ty závody něco přinesly. Natrénováno máme a jsem přesvědčen, že tým má daleko větší sílu než vloni,“ prozradil trenér. Všechny závody absolvovala čtveřice Zechmeister, Sekanina, Hampl a Cihlář. „Mladíky Procházku, Anděla a Solaře jsem protočil. Závodit bohužel nemohl Dan Rybín, který měl před soustředěním výpadek kvůli problémům s kolenem, ale druhou půlku kempu už trénoval bez omezení a jsem za to rád. Spoléhám na něj, měl by být jedním z hodně platných členů týmu,“ přiznal František Trkal. Po návratu domů si jeho svěřenci dají pár volnějších dnů. „V Chorvatsku bylo hodně chladno, při závodech i pršelo. Je důležité, aby po návratu nikdo neomarodil a kluci dobře zregenerovali. Pak už opět začneme naplno trénovat směrem ke startu domácí sezóny. Už za dva týdny nás čeká Hlohovec a následně Bíteš,“ dodal trenér Favoritu.
