Favorit úspěšný na několika frontách: Vavro vítězem Trnava Tour kadetů, Široký třetí v nedělní etapě

Závodníci Favoritu Brno byli v uplynulých dnech vidět. Části týmu se dařilo na Slovensku a dva naši cyklisté startovali na Závodu míru U23, kde se rozhodně neztratili. Na Slovensku vyhrál dvoudenní etapový závod Trnava Tour v kategorii kadetů Kristián Vavro, když v úvodní etapě skončil čtvrtý, druhou vyhrál, a to ho katapultovalo do čela konečného pořadí. Mezi muži skončil Štěpán Široký v nedělní etapě třetí. Na Závodu míru U23 v Jeseníku startovali v Regionálním Teamu Sazka Martin Voltr a Vojtěch Kmínek. „Pro oba to byla obrovská škola, protože se tam sešel výkvět světové cyklistiky v kategorii U23. Martin skončil v královské etapě s dvěma extrémními kopci jako třetí nejlepší Čech na 30. místě a celkově byl 33., což v té konkurenci považuji za velmi dobrý výsledek. Věřím, že Závod míru bude určitě pro oba povzbuzením do dalších závodů,“ uvedl šéftrenér Favoritu Brno František Trkal.
