SUŠICKÝ HIGH POINT MARATON – 2. závod Galaxy Stevens série 2021 vyhrál Jiří Reeh
V Sušici proběhl již čtvrtý ročník Sušického High Point MTB maratonu. Pro rok 2021 byl závod zařazen do Galaxy Stevens série 2021. Zázemí závodu, který pořádá High Point bike team Sušice, bylo situováno do chatové osady v lesopark Luh. Počasí pořadatelům přálo, celý den panovala skvělá atmosféra, kterou celý den vtipně doplňoval moderátor Tomáš Kubíček.
Dopoledne proběhly dětské závody. Trať byla namotána hned vedle zázemí a měla tři úrovně obtížnosti dle věku závodníků.
Ve 12:30 proběhl start dlouhé tratě maratonu. Čekalo na ně 50 pravých bikových kilometrů s celkovým převýšením 1300 m. Závod se vyznačuje tím, že je dvoukolový a až na jediný úsek dlouhý 2 km se celý odehrává v terénu okolí vrchu Svatobor. Nejrychleji tratí prolétl Jiří REEH z teamu High point v čase 2:10:17
Ve 12:45 proběhl start krátké tratě maratonu. Čekalo na ně 32 kilometrů s převýšením 800 m. Závod se jede po stejné trati jako dlouhá trasa ale pouze jedno kolo. Nejrychleji tratí prolétl Zdeněk HASELBERGER z týmu Sušičák v čase 1:25:53. Nejrychlejší ženou byla Eva HASELBERGEROVÁ z týmu Born in Šumava v čase 1:40:07, která se mimochodem umístila šestá v celkovém pořadí.
Po závodech v cíli panovala opět skvělá atmosféra a v drtivé většině byl závod velmi kladně hodnocen, což dokladovaly úsměvy jak ze strany pořadatelů, tak ze strany závodníků. Věříme, že ve stejné atmosféře a s větší účastí se setkáme v roce 2022.

Trasa 32 km muži:
1.Zdeněk Haselberg /Sušičáč/
2. Petr Soukup /Galaxy CykloŠvec Stevens/
3. Michal Hrabý /Jiko Čácha Sušice/
Galaxy Stevens série 2021 pokračuje 9.10. ve Strašicích závodem Tour de Brdy a 16.10. se jede Náměšťský cyklomaraton v Náměšti nad Oslavou.
