Kmínek čtvrtý na mistrovství republiky U23
Vojtěch Kmínek z Favoritu Brno skončil na velmi dobrém čtvrtém místě v závodě mistrovství SR a ČR kategorie U23, který hostily slovenské Tlmače. Do top 10 se dostali ještě šestý Michal Rotter a osmý Josef Čekal. Favorit startoval v mistrovském závodě dlouhém 164 km v sestavě Kmínek, Křenek, Čekal, Procházka, Kopelent, Rotter. „Šli jsme na start s taktikou chytat všechny úniky, kde bude někdo silný. Nástupů bylo poměrně dost, ale na rovinaté trati se držel peloton spíše pohromadě. Deset kilometrů před cílem odjela tříčlenná skupina, kde jsme měli Procházku, bohužel byla po sedmi kilometrech dojeta,“ popisoval šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal. Nakonec došlo na hromadný spurt a v něm byl nejlepší Daniel Babor. „My jsme měli tři kluky v top 10, a to je určitě hodně slušný výsledek. Celý tým jsem pochválil a s výkonem jsem byl spokojen. Je škoda, že jsme byli kousíček od pódia, ale to umístění je i tak výborné,“ dodal šéftrenér.
