KC Slavia – Srpen opět úspěšný
V srpnu se dařilo zejména dvěma mužům: konkrétně Pavlu Jelínkovi a Janu Kučerovi. Prvně jmenovanému se dařilo tento měsíc pouze v časovkách, kde vyhrál svou kategorii v Temelíně a na Mistrovství republiky Elite obsadil pěkné 14.místo, k těmto krásným výsledkům ještě přidal úspěšné uspořádání naší největší akce VC Temelína v roli ředitele závodu. Jistě chtěl i přidat něajké to pěkné umístění na silnici, kde startoval hned po MR na dalším díle Road cupu v Úštěku. Tam ho však zastavil těžký pád. Následoval letecký transport do nemocnice a dvě náročné operace, které však dopadli výborně a Pavel je již mimo nebezpečí, zlomené krční obratle ho však na dost dlouhou dobu vyřadí z pelotonu. Mimochodem Pavela zde výtečně zastoupil další lékař v týmu Patrik Štěpánek, který v tomto závodě dojel pátý a ve své kategorii obsadil 3.místo. Janu Kučerovi se dařilo na MTB, celý měsíc dojíždět na stupních vítězů, ale nejvíce si cení 2.místa z Krále Šumavy 22.8.
