Okolo jižních Čech se rozjede 5. – 8. září
Cyklistická sezona v Jihočeském kraji bude pokračovat začátkem září 11. ročníkem mezinárodního cyklistického etapového závodu Okolo jižních Čech (5 – 8 září). Každoročně napínavé závody slibují i tentokrát zajímavou mezinárodní účast. Přihlášeny jsou špičkové „kontinentální“ týmy z celé Evropy, ale i zámoří. Chybět nebudou závodníci nejlepších českých týmů, tedy Elkov Kasper a ATT Investment. Na českém území se jedná o druhý největší etapový závod vypsaný pro kategorie muži Elite a U23, zařazený do kalendáře Mezinárodní cyklistické unie (UCI) kategorie 2.2. „Závodníci se mohou těšit na náročné trasy v prostředí České Kanady, Novohradských hor, a Šumavy. Dotkneme se také kraje Vysočina a západních Čech. Rádi se vracíme do měst, která s námi spolupracují dlouhodobě, ale čas od času zařadíme z důvodu atraktivity i města nová“, vysvětluje ředitel prestižní akce Jan Hájek.
Etapy:
I. čtvrtek 5.9. Třeboň – Jemnice 133 km
II. pátek 6.9. České Velenice – Studená 155 km
III. sobota 7.9. Český Krumlov – Horská Kvilda 134 km
IV. neděle 8.9. Trhové Sviny – Jindřichův Hradec 150 km
Závodem v minulosti prošli cyklisté, kteří později sbírali vavříny v nejslavnějších závodech světové serie World Tour: Emanuel Buchmann (Německo), Jan Polanc (Slovinsko), Florian Senechal (Francie), Ricardo Zoidl (Rakousko), Josef Černý (Česká republika) a také vycházející hvězda současného pelotonu Arnaud De Lie.
„Pro diváky jsme připravili v každém místě startu i dojezdu etapy kulturní program, který trvá 2 hodiny. Provází ho moderátor a jeho součástí je živé vystoupení kapely, losování divácké tomboly, v rámci které rozdáváme přítomným fanouškům ceny – sportovní batohy, cyklistické přilby, cyklistické limitované dresy Okolo jižních Čech a jiné dárkové předměty“, doplňuje program ředitel akce Hájek. Před dojezdem nedělní etapy jsou v okolí Masarykova náměstí v Jindřichově Hradci vypsány doplňkové závody: děti v několika kategoriích věku 6 až 11 let odstartují ve 13 hodin, deset městských okruhů následně absolvují závodníci organizovaní v České federaci Spastic Handicap.
Organizátorem závodů je cyklistický klub RBB Invest, za podpory města Jindřichův Hradec a Jihočeského kraje. Závod se jede i s podporou CYKLOŠVEC a Stevens bikes.
