Dvojnásobný šampion Ulík a suverénní štafeta kolínských
Nejvýraznějším výsledkem nabitého víkendu je určitě dvojnásobné prvenství Mateje Ulíka na domácím šampionátu v Košicích. V sobotu byl na programu závod v disciplíně XCC (short track). Právě v této rychlé disciplíně se podařilo získat první letošní titul. A přitom to nebyl vůbec lehký úkol. V cestě k mistrovskému dresu totiž stála absolutní megastar světové cyklistiky Peter Sagan, který nastoupil i do nedělního boje v olympijské disciplíně XCO. K naší radosti i druhý souboj těchto skvělých slovenských cyklistů dopadl ve prospěch kolínských barev. Matej tedy zvítězil způsobem dva starty, dva tituly.
Na domácím šampionátu v Harrachově jsme se pustili do závodění již v pátek, kdy mezi sebou zápolila družstva smíšených štafet. Mezi dospělými jsme letos vše vsadili pouze na jednu štafetu ve složení Richard Severyn, Eva Drhová, Simona Spěšná a Patrik Černý. A byla to rozhodně správně vložená důvěra, protože po necelé hodině jsme se mohli radovat z vítězství. Podařilo se nám tak zkompletovat vítězný hattrick z posledních tří ročníků MČR smíšených štafet.
Mezi další skvělé výkony patřila jízda prvoročáka v kategorii do 23 let Františka Hojky. Ač bylo pořadatelem zrušeno vyhlášení této kategorie, František se dokázal díky svému nasazení i v tak mladém věku prosadit na rozšířené pódium na 5. místě v elitě (2. místo v U23). Velmi dobře jej doplnil i další mladík Patrik Černý na 7. místě v elitě (3. v U23). Naše mládež si po vydařeném víkendu užila tak trochu sklizeň brambor, kdy na 4. místě dojela kadetka Eva Drhová, ml. Žákyně Anna Bursíková a st. žákyně Nela Drábková.
