Sezóna mužů Favoritu Brno očima šéftrenéra Františka Trkala
Sezóna 2021 je minulostí a ve Favoritu Brno, který závodí na kolech Stevens, v přilbách Catlike a s díly a doplňky KMC a Nexelo od CYKLOŠVEC ji budou hodnotit z pohledu mužů jako solidní. Podařilo se několik velmi dobrých výsledků na silnici i dráze včetně celkového třetího místa v hodnocení týmů v Českém poháru. „Toho si vážím hodně, protože jde o celoroční záležitost a po několika letech jsme se vrátili na pódium,“ říká šéftrenér František Trkal.
„Rozpočtem ani kvalitou se nemůžeme měřit s nejlepšími českými týmy, to je prostě realita. O to víc mě těší, že jsme se neztratili a byli jsme vidět celý rok,“ přiznal šéftrenér.
„Celkově to byla taková zvláštní sezóna, jejíž druhou polovinu jsme byli oslabeni, protože Petr Hampl i Michal Rotter si zlomili ruku a skoro dva měsíce nám chyběli. Tým fungoval jen v pěti lidech, ale ostatní kluci se toho zhostili dobře,“ uvedl František Trkal.
Za tým mužů v letošní sezóně závodili Petr Hampl, Adam Křenek, Michal Rotter, Vojtěch Kmínek, Michal Procházka, Josef Čekal a David Kopelent, přičemž dva posledně jmenovaní byli v kategorii U23 prvním rokem. „Každý z kluků si v té sezóně našel svoje místo,“ chválil tým šéftrenér.
Už na zahajovacím závodě sezóny, klasice Brno-Velká Bíteš-Brno, byl Kmínek třetí v kategorii U23, na mistrovství republiky skončil tentýž závodník čtvrtý v silničním závodě U23. „K medaili mu chyběl kousek, rozhodoval spurt. Ale i čtvrté místo se počítá. Navíc jsme měli ještě další dva lidi v top 10 – Rotter byl šestý a Čekal osmý,“ rekapituloval František Trkal.
Stejně tak vyzdvihuje třetí místo na mistrovství republiky v časovce družstev a další dílčí výsledky jako Křenkovo páté místo na etapovém závodě RBB Tour, kde navíc vezl Hampl jeden den žlutý dres lídra.
„Neztratili jsme se ani na dráze. Čekal je vicemistrem republiky ve scratchi, Křenek tam skončil čtvrtý. Na GP Framar byl v olympijském omniu Čekal čtvrtý a ve stejném disciplíně na kvalitně obsazeném UCI závodě Přilba Moravy jedenáctý,“ vyjmenoval největší dráhové úspěchy mužů Favoritu šéftrenér.
