Daniel Polman s řetězy KMC zdolal RACAS
Dan Polman zajel 3540 km podél hranic Česka a Slovenska za 7 dní a 23 hodin. Trasa 3540 km dlouhá s převýšením 36 000 km byla, jak jsem čekal, hodně náročná. Navíc počasí nám vůbec nepřálo a polovinu závodu jsem absolvoval v dešti. Rozbité silnice navíc způsobily zánět šlach v předloktí… Přesto výsledný čas 7 dní a 23 hodin považuji za velmi solidní (v průměru přes 440 km a 4500 m denně). Moc jsem toho nenaspal (celkem necelých 11 hodin).
Technika fungovala skvěle – dokonce jsem na rozbitých silnicích neměl jediný defekt!
Charitativní část – sbírka na nový vozík pro postiženého Petra dopadla naprosto skvěle – vybralo se přes 60 000 Kč! (Tzn. každý kilometr přinesl přes 17 Kč)
Celkově RACAS hodnotím i jako skvělý trénink na příští rok, kdy se snad popasuji s nejdelším etapovým závodem světa (Trans Siberian Extreme – 9100 km).
