Favorit Brno: Soustředění splnilo účel
Silniční tým mužů Favoritu Brno absolvoval na kolech Stevens Izoard Pro v uplynulých dnech tréninkový kemp v České Třebové. Sešlo se tam sedm závodníků. Chyběl Michal Rotter, jenž onemocněl mononukleózou a je na delší čas mimo hru. „Je to loňský vicemistr republiky v časovce U23 a i letos by patřil k aspirantům na jednu z medailí. Čeká ho teď minimálně měsíc bez kola, a jestli se vrátí, tak až na konci sezóny. Je to pro nás ztráta, ale nedá se nic dělat. Musíme se s tím popasovat,“ řekl šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal.
Jeho svěřenci se v minulých dnech připravovali v okolí České Třebové, kde našli azyl již tradičně v Hotelu Bravo. Kempu se zúčastnili Petr Hampl, Vojtěch Kmínek, Adam Doležal, Adam Křenek, Michal Procházka, David Kulhánek a Pavel Gruber.
„Během třídenního kempu jsme zvládli vše, co jsme chtěli. Potřeboval jsem, aby se všichni sešli pohromadě. Probrali jsme kalendář, velmi kvalitně jsme potrénovali. S přístupem všech kluků jsem byl spokojen,“ uvedl František Trkal.
Sezóna 2020 jeho svěřencům naplno začne 18. července úvodním dílem Českého poháru. „A už tam bychom chtěli být vidět,“ prozradil šéftrenér. Křenek s Procházkou už nyní absolvují dráhové závody 500+1 kolo v Brně, z dalších startů počítá Favorit kromě domácího poháru s etapovým závodem Vysočina a mělo by dojít i na nějaké závody v Polsku, Maďarsku a na Slovensku.
