Tomáš Slavík vítězí na závodu MAD OF LAKE v Itálii
Tomáš Slavík se poprvé zúčastnil závodu MAD OF LAKE na břehu jezera Lago Di Garda a hned dokázal zvítězit. Z 200 přihlášených jezdců to byl právě Slavík, který dokázal zvítězit téměř o 4 vteřiny na trati plné velkých skoků, rychlých sekcí, uzoučkých uliček a technických pasáží. Itálie ukázala, že umí dělat tyto městské sjezdy a musíme konstatovat, že se jednalo o jeden z nejlíp připravených evropských závodů, kterým jsme se zúčastnili.
“Když jsem se rozhodl jet do Itálie podle videí jsem si myslel, že to bude procházka růžovou zahradou, ale opak byl pravdou. Extrémně rychlá trať, kde jsem asi na sedmi pasážích překročil rychlost 65 km/h budila značný respekt a nutila člověka doopravdy nechybovat. Na druhou stranu to byla jedna z těch bezpečnějších tratí a díky tomu se mohlo závodu zúčastnit takové množství závodníků. Ježdění na této trati jsem si doopravdy užíval a střílel tam jednu jízdu za druhou. To jsou přesně chvíle, kdy se cítím skvěle a dokážu být hodně rychlý. V kvalifikaci jsem zvítězil o 4 vteřiny, ale to co se odehrálo přes noc byl trochu strašák. Začalo pršet a foukal ukrutný vítr. Trať to docela ustála, ale jízdu jsem se snažil jet i tak opatrněji… i když to podle videa nevypadá haha. Nakonec vítězství o necelé 4 vteřiny, mám z toho obrovskou radost. Nevěděl jsem, co na město řekne moje podvědomí po mým velkým pádu v Chile, ale vše je tak jak má být ve starých dobrých kolejích :) Cítím se skvěle a závod jsem si moc užil. Už teď se třesu na další závod do Mexika! Díky moc všem, co za mnou stojí! “

Další zastávka pro Tomáše je jeden z nejtěžších městských sjezdů v Mexiku, který nese název Down Puerto Vallarta, kde Slavík dokázal zvítězit v roce 2017, 2018 měl technickou závada a závod nedokončil… uvidíme co přinese rok 2019.
