Dvě pódiová umístění na závěr poháru
Cyklisté Favoritu Brno byli hodně vidět v posledních dvou závodech Českého poháru, když o uplynulém víkendu vybojovali dvě umístění na pódiu! Postarali se o ně Michal Procházka a David Kulhánek. V sobotu se jel předposlední díl poháru na těžké trati ve Strašicích u Rokycan. „Trasa vedle ve vojenském prostoru, nastoupalo se přes 2000 metrů. Byla tam spousta defektů a o náročnosti závodu vypovídá, že do cíle dojelo jen 16 lidí,“ informoval šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal. Zhruba ve třetině závodu odjela skupina 13 závodníků. „Měli jsme tam Procházku s Hamplem. Ani jim se nevyhnuly defekty, ale nakonec to zvládli. Skupina se postupně nadělila, Hampl skončil celkově devátý a Procházka desátý, ale v hodnocení kategorie U23 to pro Michala znamenalo skvělé druhé místo,“ popisoval šéftrenér. V neděli vrcholil Český pohár kritériem v Mladé Boleslavi na 105 km. David Kulhánek skončil celkově osmý, ale v kategorii U23 třetí, Pavel Gruber byl 14. a Petr Hampl 17. „V obou závodech jsem byl s vystoupením týmu spokojen. Dvakrát jsme se dostali na pódium, po oba dny jsme měli v absolutním pořadí lidi v top 10. A konkurence byla opravdu skvělá včetně výborných polských cyklistů, kteří oba závody vyhráli. O to víc mě těší, že jsme byli schopni prosadit se,“ hodnotil František Trkal. V celkovém hodnocení poháru obsadil Petr Hampl výborné páté místo, hned za ním skončil Pavel Gruber. „Mít dva lidi v top 6 v celoroční soutěži, to je hodně dobrá vizitka. Navíc jsme to podpořili čtvrtým místem mezi týmy. Rád bych poděkoval nejen závodníkům, ale i celému realizačnímu týmu,“ dodal František Trkal.
