Visegradská 4: nejlepší Rotter a Procházka
Cyklisté Favoritu Brno absolvovali o uplynulém víkendu dva starty na kvalitně obsazených závodech Visegradské 4 – nejprve v Maďarsku a v neděli na Slovensku. Nejlepších výsledků dosáhli Michal Rotter, který byl v sobotu dvacátý, a Michal Procházka dojel v neděli na 23.místě. „Od mistrovství republiky to pro nás byl po delší pauze závodní víkend a byl to takový test, jak jsme na tom po tréninkovém procesu. Jsem rád, že jsme se neztratili. Na naše možnosti to v té silné mezinárodní konkurenci byly solidní výkony i výsledky,“ řekl šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal. Na obou UCI závodech kategorie 1.2 se sešla kvalitní konkurence, v sobotu v Budapešti bylo na startu 160 závodníků z 27 týmů. Favorit startoval v sestavě Petr Hampl, Vojtěch Kmínek, Josef Čekal, Adam Křenek, Michal Rotter, Michal Procházka. Závod vyhrál Michal Schlegel (Elkov Kasper). „Těžký závěr s kopcem měl nejvíce sedět Hamplovi, ale bohužel měl deset kilometrů před cílem pád. Hodně se odřel, narazil si ruku. Po závodě jsme jeli do nemocnice na rentgen, který naštěstí nepotvrdil žádnou zlomeninu, ale ruka ho bolela a v neděli startovat nemohl,“ prozradil šéftrenér. Nedělní GP Slovakia na 135 km se jela celá za deště. „Procházka skončil 23. a s vystoupením týmu jsem byl vnitřně spokojen. Výsledky odpovídají našim možnostem, s těmi top týmy se rovnat nemůžeme. Rozhodně to nebylo špatné vystoupení,“ doplnil František Trkal.
