Závodníci TJ Favoritu Brno tahouny České reprezentace v Maďarsku
Trojice našich závodníků se v uplynulém týdnu účastnila světového poháru juniorů Visegrad V4 juniors. Závod je zařazen do Nations cupu, očekávali jsme tedy tu nejtěžší konkurenci. Českou republiku reprezentovali kluci z Favoritu Josef Čekal, David Kopelent a Štěpán Široký, kluci z RKCA Daniel Sporysch a Martin Volf a jezdec z Merida Mapei Kaňkovský Tomáš Obržálek. V první etapě se prosadil Josef Čekal na 6. místo, ve druhé etapě, kterou byla časovka, dojel nejlépe Štěpán Široký šestnáctý a dařilo se mu i ve třetí etapě, kde dospurtoval na 5. místě. Závěrečná čtvrtá etapa nahrávala opět hromadnému dojezdu. Poměrně poklidný průběh etapy narušily až závěrečné tři pětikilometrové okruhy městem. Silné týmy začaly budovat pozice pro svoje spurtéry, tempo se výrazně zvedlo a v kombinaci s velmi technickou tratí ve městě plnou kanálů docházel k mnohým pádům. Na ty doplatil i Štěpán Široký když, opustil svoje kolo necelý kilometr před cílem. Dokonale ho, ale zastoupil Josef Čekal, podařilo se mu natlačit mezi Dánskou a Italskou reprezentaci a v krásném spurtu obsadil 4. místo. Výborně zajel v etapě i Daniel Sporysch (RKCA) na 8. místě. V konečném součtu si odvážíme následující umístění: 14. místo Štěpán Široký, 18. místo Davida Kopelent, 23. Daniel Sporysch, 33. Martin Volf, 38. Tomáš Obdržálek a 47. po pádu ve třetí etapě a časové ztrátě Josef Čekal. Velké díky patří i realizačnímu týmu, trenérsky akci zajišťoval Lukáš PETR, mechanickou práci odváděl Pavel Čekal, masáže a občerstvení měl na starost Pavel Gruber.
