CK Příbram Fany Gastro na Vysočina tour a akademickém mistrovství světa
Vysočina tour již tradiční závod s mezinárodní účastí.
Letošní tratě všech čtyř etap se dočkaly malých změn a tak na závodníky čekala drobná překvapení. Nejtěžší stoupání na Vysočině však zůstaly beze změn. Celé čtyři dny se závodníci museli potýkat také s velmi vysokými teplotami. První etapa se startem i cílem v Poličce byla v režii především zahraničních týmů, které tvořili většinu z téměř 100 závodníků. V předposledním okruhu se na čele utvořila později vítězná trojice dvou německých závodníků z týmu PS team Thüringen a Daniela Turka jezdící za Israel cycling academy. Za nimi se sice vydal na stíhací jízdu Martin Boubal, ale nebylo v jeho silách trojici dojet. Ovšem ani další skupina neměla na dostižení Martina dost sil a tak si Martin dojel pro 4.místo. V další skupině přijel do cíle Pavel Gruber. Druhá etapa situovaná do Poličky měla oproti ostatním ročníkům zcela novou trať. Krátce po startu se na čele usadila čtveřice závodníků s naším Vojtěchem Modlitbou, který aktivně sbíral body na vrchařských prémiích. Před poslední prémií, která by Vojtu oblékla do dresu nejlepšího vrchaře byl však náskok zlikvidován. Na konci posledního stoupání se od pelotonu oddělila trojice závodníků i s průběžně vedoucím Starkem (PS team Thüringen) a kromě příbramských barev neměl zbytek pelotonu zájem tuto skupinu stíhat. Nezbylo tedy než spurtovat o 4.místo. Martin Boubal zde vyspurtoval 5.místo v etapě. Třetí etapa s centrem v Bystřici nad Perštejnem měla pro náš tým jasný úkol a to útok Voty Modlitby na vrchařskou soutěž. Nicméně Vojta byl hlídám ostatními týmy a tak vyšel rozhodující únik na Martina Hebíka, který s dalšími třemi závodníky strávil téměř celou etapu na čele. I on pravidelně bodoval na vrchařských prémiích, kde vždy bral druhé místo. Před posledním stoupáním postihl našeho lídra pro dojezd etapy, Martina Boubala, defekt předního kola. Díky rychlé práci mechanika a obětování se ze strany ostatních příbramáků se podařilo Martinovi dostat zpět do čela a i přes vypětí sil obsadil v etapě 7.místo. Závěrečná etapa se startem a cílem opět v Bystřici nad Perštejnem byla sice kratší, ale o to kopcovitější. Od startu útočili Vojta Modlitba s Martinem Hebíkem s cílem bodovat z úniku na vrchařských prémiích. Hlavní pole si však naše závodníky velmi dobře hlídalo. Na okruzích, které závodníci absolvovali celkem 5x se na čele usadila skupina bez vedoucího Starka, ale za to s Martinem Boubalem a Tomášem Jakoubkem. Toho využil právě Martin Boubal a zaútočil z této skupiny sám. Jeho náskok rostl a Martin ostře útočil na žlutý trikot lídra závodu. Toho si ovšem byli dobře vědomi závodníci z Thüringenu a Martinův náskok v předposledním kopci zlikvidovali. Na poslední horské prémii se od vedoucí skupiny odpoutal ve žlutém jedoucí Stark a Turek (Israel cycling academy). Martin Boubal vyhrál spurt osmičlenné skupiny o třetí místo a zajistil si tak celkové 4.místo na Vysočině 2018, kde zároveň obsadil 2.místo v bodovací soutěži. Za top 10 se v poslední etapě umístil 11. Tomáš Jakoubek. V celkovém pořadí útočil na první desítku i Pavel Gruber, který ve stejném čase jako právě 10. Rajchart (Elkov Author) obsadil 13.místo. Díky velké aktivitě po celý závod se v celkovém hodnocení vrchařské soutěže umístili 4. Modlitba, 5. Boubal a 6. Hebík. V soutěži týmů se CK Příbram Fany Gastro ve složení Boubal, Hebík, Gruber, Jakoubek a Modlitba umístili na celkově 2.příčce.
Na akademickém Mistrovství světa v Portugalsku reprezentoval, v teplotách okolo 45 stupňů, slovenské barvy příbramský Róbert Malik, který obsadil pěkné 23.místo. Již tento týden Róbert odlétá po boku úřadujícího světového šampiona Petera Sagana na Mistrovství Evropy Elite do Glasgow.
