Favorit Brno – Jan Voneš závodí s nejlepšími světovými závodníky
Jan Voneš se spolu s Adamem Křenkem zúčastnili na domácím velodromu Velké ceny Dukly Brno. Na start se postavilo téměř 70 závodníků, bylo tedy nutné zredukovat startovní pole dvěma rozjížďkami na finálových 40 borců. Už kvalifikace značně zredukovala startovní pole, nepodařilo se postoupit ani dvěma mistrům světa a většině českých závodníků. O to více nás mrzí první nepostupová pozice Adama Křenka, kdy ještě dlouho po dojetí byl vyhlašován, že patří mezi postupující, po důkladném přepočítání výsledků byl bohužel prvním, kdo se do finálové jízdy nevešel. Jan Voneš byl společně s Petrem Kelemenem jediní junioři, kteří se vešli mezi světová esa dráhové cyklistiky a závody omnia s rychlostními průměry okolo 53 km/h pro ně byly obrovská škola. Honzovi se nejvíce dařilo ve vylučovačce, kde obsadil 26. pozici a porazil několik závodníků z první dvacítky světového rankinku. Fantastický výkon předvedl Honza společně s Petrem Kelemenem při závěrečném madisonu, kdy se nebojácně rvali s nejlepšími a z 21 párů obsadili 7. místo s minimální ztrátou na čtvrté v pořadí. „Vím, že kluci jsou dobří, ale dnešním závodem dokázali, že se s nimi musí počítat i v kategorii mužů, ačkoliv jsou stále junioři. Moc bych jim přál medaili z velké juniorské akce“ vyslovil přání Honzův trenér Lukáš PETR. Adam Křenek si trochu napravil chuť krásným 22. místem ve scratchi U23. „Jsem rád, že zde mohu závodit, je to pro mě velká škola, poprvé se setkávám s takhle kvalitními závodníky“ pochvaloval si Adam, který byl nejmladším z celého startovního pole. Vojta Řepa v rámci přípravy jel závod v Lidicích, závod pojal spíše jako přípravu k blížícímu se MČR, ale i tak obsadil krásné 4. místo, Veronika vyhrála silniční závod na Vysočině, kadeti a žáci se zúčastnili MTB závodu ve Skaličce u Tišnova, který je zařazen do poháru SCM2020.
