František Trkal o sezoně Favoritu: Byla jedna z nejlepších v historii
Jako vynikající označuje letošní sezonu cyklistů Favoritu Brno napříč kategoriemi František Trkal. „Podle mě byla vůbec jedna z nejlepších v historii,“ říká. Z týmu mužů vyzdvihl především čtveřici Martin Voltr, Adam Křenek, Štěpán Široký a Vojtěch Kmínek. „Voltr obsadil šestnácté místo v silničním závodě na mistrovství republiky ve skvělé konkurenci, v mistrovském závodě kategorie U23 v České Třebové navíc skončil čtvrtý a zaznamenal v sezóně několik pódiových umístění,“ vypočítával Trkal. Křenek a Široký byli zase úspěšní na dráze. „Získali několik medailí z domácího šampionátu a dokázali se prosadit i na mezinárodních závodech UCI, například na GP Tufo, kde byli třetí v madisonu. Křenek pak skončil na mistrovství Evropy U23 v madisonu šestý, což je skvělý úspěch,“ hodnotil vystoupení na dráze Trkal. Kmínek vyhrál dvě etapy na Slovensku, v celkovém pořadí ČP skončil 6. v kategorii U23 a v průběhu sezóny zaznamenal několik kvalitních výsledků. Podařilo se několik velmi dobrých výsledků na silnici i dráze včetně čtvrtého místa v hodnocení týmů v Českém poháru. Každý z kluků si v této sezóně našel svoje místo, chválil tým Trkal. V juniorském týmu hrál prim Štěpán Telecký. „V první půlce sezóny vynikal svým přístupem, nasazením i výsledky. Vybojoval titul vicemistra republiky v časovce, je domácím šampionem v bodovačce, na silnici startoval na mistrovství světa i Evropy,“ chválil svého svěřence. „Spolu s Muroněm a Vysočanem navíc získali titul na mistrovství republiky v časovce družstev, který se cení.“ Mezi kadety vyčníval Kristián Vavro. „Na dráze je mistrem republiky v omniu, na silnici obsadil výborné 15. místo na Závodu míru nejmladších. V konkurenci 160 závodníků z absolutní evropské špičky byl druhým nejlepším Čechem,“ řekl Trkal. Další kadet Filip Richter pak vybojoval několik medailí na dráze. Mezi kadety ukázal velký potenciál Šimon Matějek, jednou by z něj mohl být dobrý silničář, říká Trkal. V kategorii kadetek zářila Elen Lazarová. „Ve sprinterských disciplínách u nás nemá konkurenci, je několikanásobnou mistryní republiky. Mezi žáky ukázal velký potenciál Matteo La Carbonara, který má výborný ,,motor‘‘, jmenuje mladé naděje Favoritu Trkal. „Mohl bych tu vyzdvihovat spousty dalších medailistů. Jen mládež jich získala přes čtyřicet. Pochvalu za přístup zaslouží všichni. Podávali výborné výkony napříč kategoriemi,“ dodal ve svém posledním hodnocení František Trkal, který po 12 letech ve Favoritu Brno končí.
