Telecký třetí v závodě Regionem Orlicka
Štěpán Telecký z Favoritu Brno skončil na velmi dobrém třetím místě v etapovém závodě juniorů Regionem Orlicka. Vítězství vybojoval polský cyklista Gruszczynski. Závod měl čtyři etapy, klíčem k úspěchu byla časovka, kde byl Telecký druhý a další ze závodníků Favoritu Matyáš Muroň osmý. „Třetí místo na jednom z největších etapáků pro juniory u nás je hodně dobré. Připsali jsme si další cenný výsledek v letošní sezóně. Na závodnících ale bylo vidět, že to v kopcích není úplně ono. Není se čemu divit, do závodu jsme šli v podstatě z dráhového programu, protože jsme se tři týdny chystali na mistrovství republiky na dráze, které pro nás dopadlo velmi dobře,“ uvedl šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal. „Štěpán sám cítil, že to nebylo úplně to pravé ořechové, ale bojoval, stejně jako všichni ostatní. A máme celkové třetí místo. Pro Štěpána je teď prioritou mistrovství světa v Austrálii v polovině září a k němu bude směřovat příprava,“ prozradil šéftrenér Favoritu. Kromě Teleckého s Muroněm startovali v závodě Regionem Orlicka z našeho týmu ještě další junioři Viktor Padělek, Tomáš Novák, Jakub Janíček, Daniel Vysočan a kadet Kristián Vavro.
