Poslední dva díly Škoda Cupu 2020
Předposlední díl Škoda Cupu Českého poháru v silniční cyklistice, který se odehrál v Brdech na cestách, kde by se vyplatil gravel bike, dorazilo do cíle pouze 16 závodníků, z toho bylo po pěti cyklistech z Polska a Elkov Kasper. Vyhrál zkušený Paterski z Wibatechu. Klasifikováni byli ještě dva cyklisté Favoritu Brno (Hampl, Procházka) a po jednom z Topforex Lapierre (Řepa), Sparty Praha (Jan Stohr), Mapei Merida Kaňkovský (Bittner) a CK Příbram Fany Gastro (Schuran). Zbylých 48 buď nedokončilo nebo bylo odvoláno pro překročení časového limitu. Závod se jel částečně ve vojenském újezdu Brdy a původním plánem byla trasa o délce 140 km, která však byla v půlce závodu po protestech jednoho z týmů ohledně počtu defektů a zlému stavu silnic zkrácena na 110 km. Na start se postavilo 64 závodníků, kteří vyrazili do závodu s výraznými gravelovými úseky. Zhruba 20 kilometrů po startu v místě, kde byly jen zbytky asfaltu a dlažby, se oddělilo 25 jezdců, kteří věděli, že je nutné být na čele. Skupina tak dále aktivně pokračovala prvním technickým kolem s délkou 60 km a při průjezdu do druhého 50 km okruhu se dozvěděla, že to bude v závodu také okruh poslední. Z našich závodníků dokončil pouze lídr týmu, Michal Schuran na 16.místě, který ještě v pátek před závodem zvažoval účast pro zdravotní problémy s achylovkami. Poslední závod pětidílného seriálu se jel v Mladé Boleslavi formou delšího kritéria na 105km. Poláci po včerejších Brdech neodcestovali domů a zase vyhráli. Tentokrát Patryk Stosz (Voster ATS). Nejlépe z našich si vedl Tomáš Jakoubek na 15.místě, což znamenalo 5.místo mezi jezdci do 23 let. Dále dokončili 24. Modlitba a 28. Schuran. V celkovém pořadí Škoda Cupu zvítězil Matěj Zahálka (Elkov Kasper) a hradecká stáj ovládla i soutěž týmů, ve které náš tým letos obsadil až 5.místo, především kvůli zdravotnímu výpadku části týmu na pohárovém závodu v Ostravě. Mezi jednotlivci si vedl velmi dobře Michal Schuran na celkovém 7.místě. Dále se letos na bodovaných příčkách umístil 23. Modlitba, 31. Jakoubek a 41. Pileček.
