Hebík ovládl etapový závod Lidice
53.ročník mezinárodního etapového závodu Lidice 2018 startoval v pátek novou etapou, kterou byla časovka do vrchu na 5km v Jincích. Na startu se kromě tradičních českých týmů sešli i týmy z Německa a z Rakouska. Vítězem se stal Adam Sekanina z Favoritu Brno, který jako jediný dosáhl času pod 10 minut. Z příbramských si nejlépe počínal 5. Hebík a 6. Gruber se ztrátou 21, respektivě 22 vteřin. Druhá etapa v Blatné na 165 km se jela jako součást Českého poháru. Závod byl ovlivněn taktikou týmů, kterým záleželo na pořadí celého etapového závodu. V prvních okruzích se od pelotonu odpoutaly 3 dvojice uprchlíků, jejichž náskok dosáhl i více jak 7 minut. Po polovině závodu se však celé hlavní pole sjelo dohromady a více se již nikomu nepodařilo od pelotonu odpoutat. Až v nájezdu do posledního kola nastoupil Krotký (Sparta Praha) a svůj náskok udržel až do cíle. Peloton tak spurtoval o druhé místo. Příbramským chyběl jejich hlavní spurter Martin Boubal, který do etapy nenastoupil pro nachlazení a nejlépe se tak umístil Pavel Gruber na 8.místě. V celkovém pořadí ČP si Příbram stále drží průběžné 2.místo. Poslední etapa se jela v Lidicích na 3 km okruhu, který závodníci jeli celkem 33 x. V průběžném pořadí si držel Hebík 5. a Gruber 6.místo za vedoucím Sekaninou. Taktika týmu zněla jasně, útočit! Hned v prvním okruhu zaútočil příbramský Tomáš Jakoubek, ke kterému se přidalo pár dalších závodníků, kteří Tomášovi ve stoupání nestačili a tak kroužil před pelotonem osamocen. Když už to vypadalo, že bude Tomáš dojet, přidal se k němu náš další závodník Vojtěch Modlitba a spolu s německým jezdcem opět Pelotonu odjeli. Po více jak polovině závodu byli uprchlíci dostiženi a nastupovat začli další příbramští závodníci, především Malik a Gruber. Asi 15 km před cílem se po zdrcujícím nástupu Martina Hebíka na čele usídlila trojice Hebík, Vaníček (ČEZ Tábor) a Stoiber (Union team Tirol). V pelotonu již nikdo neměl sílu tuto trojici dostihnout. Martin Hebík si v posledním stoupání svým dalším nástupem pojistil vítězství v etapě a osamoceně protl cílovou pásku. Hlavní pole přijelo s minutovou ztrátou a to znamenalo i celkové prvenství pro Martina Hebíka, který si odvezl i zelený trikot pro vítěze bodovací soutěže. V celkovém pořadí se dále umístili 8. Gruber, 12. Jakoubek, 14. Malik, 15. Modlitba.
