Den před zahájením samotného etapového závodu se všichni účastníci sešli na hlavním náměstí Krakova, kde se utkali „O zlatý prsten města Krakova“. Toto prestižní klání mělo dvě části. V té první sbírali závodníci body a 12 nejlepších postoupilo do samotného finále, kterým se stal vylučovací závod. To znamená, že každý okruh na pásce odstoupí poslední závodník. Do velkého finále postoupil z našich Martin Hebík, kterému chybělo trochu toho závodnického štěstí a obsadil 10.místo. První etapa odstartovala v horkém letním počasí ve zvlněném okolí Krakova. V závodě došlo pouze ke dvěma větším únikům a v jednom z nich nechybělo příbramské zastoupení za účasti Róberta Malika. Toho bohužel z pozdějších bojů po dojetí pelotonem odstavily zdravotní problémy, ale i tak statečně dokončil etapu v časovém limitu. Nejlépe si s prudkým cílovým stoupáním poradil na 24. Pavel Gruber ve stejném čase jako vítězný Paterski (Wibatech Merx 7R) a navíc jako 3. v pořadí kategorie jezdců do 23 let. Martin Hebík skončil v pádu s naraženým zápěstím, ale i tak se rozhodl bojovat v dalších etapách. Druhá etapa poblíž Zakopaného na polské straně Vysokých Tater měřila sice pouhých 105 km,ale závodníci nastoupali 1900 výškových metrů a maximální sklon stoupání činil neuvěřitelných 27%. Tato etapa bohužel Pavlu Gruberovi, našemu lídrovi pro tento závod, úplně nesedla a po dlouhém boji dokončil závod v druhé skupině. Zde si nejlépe počínal Martin Boubal na 25.místě. Vojtěch Modlitba nedokončil pro technické problémy. Závěrečná etapa na 158 km vedla přes tři horské prémie s výškou okolo 1000 m.n.m. a cíl pořadatelé připravili po 12 km těžkého stoupání ve výšce 1200 m.n.m. Zde se příbramští potýkali s několika píchlými galuskami, ale i tak se celou dobu drželi v hlavním poli, které se významně nadělilo v cílovém stoupání pod taktovkou týmu CCC Sprandi. Z našich zde měl připravenou pozici Pavel Gruber, který do cíle dojel na 25. místě a opět jako třetí závodník do 23 let. V celkovém pořadí mu pak v této kategorii patří pěkné 7.místo.
