Bíteš otevře sezónu závodů Českého poháru v silniční cyklistice
V posledních letech nezvykle až první dubnovou sobotu se roztočí silniční kola při tradičním otvíráku tuzemské vrcholové cyklistiky Velká Bíteš – Brno – Velká Bíteš. 48. ročník mezi elitními závodníky i fanoušky oblíbené „Bíteše“, nad jejímž uspořádáním převzala záštitu starostka města Velká Bíteš Ing. Markéta Lavická, odstartuje v pravé poledne 6. dubna z Masarykova náměstí.
Trasa tohoto 1. závodu Českého poháru v silniční cyklistice Škoda Cup 2024 zůstává z velké části roky neměnná. Drobné změny si povětšinou vyžádají buďto nutné opravy komunikací, a nebo z důvodu brzkého jarního termínu silnice v né vždy optimální kondici. Pro letošní rok museli organizátoři z TJ Favorit Brno řešit hned dvě nepříjemnosti: „Vzhledem k plánované opravě povrchu mostu přes dálnici na Kývalce jsme se tomuto úseku vyhnuli vedením trasy z Ostrovačic serpentinami přímo k Masarykovu okruhu, který závodníci minou po jeho jižní hranici a kousek za opravovaným mostem se znovu vrátí na starou trasu. Stejnou cestou se pak dostanou zpět do Říčan, kde se po odbočení na Rosice napojí na velký okruh. Další odchýlení od původní trasy následuje za Zbraslaví. Směrem od Zastávky je sice od loňského léta položen krásný nový asfalt, bohužel úsek od Zbraslavi až k Velké Bíteši se bude modernizovat až v letošním roce. Jelikož je jeho povrch značně rozbitý, rozhodli jsme se objet jej přes Újezd u Rosic a Stanoviště,“ nastiňuje drobné změny Josef Vaishar z TJ Favorit Brno.
Na jezdce čekají celkem tři vrchařské prémie (1x Kohoutovice, 2x Zastávka) a čtyři sprinterské na náměstí ve Velké Bíteši. Celková délka se zvedla jen nepatrně na 165 km. Profilově se nejedná o nijak náročný závod. Jeho obtížnost je dána zejména třemi závěrečnými 18 kilometrů dlouhými zvlněnými okruhy severozápadně od Velké Bíteše přes Vlkov a Osovou Bítýšku, kde cyklisty často trápí silný boční vítr a závod se zde zpravidla rozhoduje. I tak se v posledních letech rychlostní průměr drží kolem 42 kilometrů za hodinu.
Obhájce loňského prvenství dráhový olympionik Pavel Kelemen, který triumfoval po velmi napínavém průběhu, kdy ujeté trio ještě 7 km před cílem mělo náskok kolem jedné minuty na zbytek pelotonu a díky soustředěnému výkonu týmu ATT Investments bylo dojeto až v posledním kilometru, kde na metě 100 metrů před cílem nastoupil pozdější vítěz a přetavil své rychlostní předpoklady k prvnímu velkému vítězství na silnici, ukončil kariéru. Tým ATT Investments však bude toužit loňské premiérové týmové vítězství na „Bíteši“ obhájit. Překazit plány jim bude chtít jejich největší tuzemský rival hradecký Elkov Kasper, jehož závodníci v historii dokázali „Bíteš“ opanovat již více než desetkrát. Lze očekávat i účast slovenských, polských, rakouských i maďarských týmů. Posledním zahraničním vítězem je z roku 2018 Polák Maciej Paterski, účastník Giro d’Italia. Mezi vítěze se však před deseti lety zapsal také další špičkový cyklista Jan Tratnik, Slovinec aktuálně závodící za nizozemský tým Visma/Lease a Bike, kde pomáhá největším hvězdám světového pelotonu Jonasi Vingegaardovi a Wout van Aertovi.
Nedílnou součástí silničních akcí pořádaných Favoritem Brno je internetový přímý přenos. V letošním roce bude stream z „Bíteše“ vysílán kromě LED obrazovky na Masarykově náměstí opět také na obrazovkách České televize prostřednictvím hybridního vysílání. Komentovat jej bude osvědčené duo Josef Kratina, Tomáš Konečný. O zábavu v cílovém prostoru se bude starat DJ Luděk „Savana“ Urbánek.
