Bíteš otevře silničářskou sezónu
Zahájení sezóny závodů silniční cyklistiky se blíží
Již několik desítek let je českou primaverou, tedy závodem, který na jaře roztáčí kolotoč tuzemské vrcholové silniční cyklistiky, tradiční a mezi elitními závodníky velmi populární „Bíteš“. Závod, jehož centrem se v posledních letech stalo Masarykovo náměstí ve Velké Bíteši, se jezdí na trase Velká Bíteš – Brno – Velká Bíteš. Letos jej Tělovýchovná jednota Favorit Brno uspořádá v neděli 26. března již po sedmačtyřicáté.
Tato 1. část seriálu závodů Českého poháru v silniční cyklistice Škoda Cup 2023 se koná pod záštitou starostky města Velká Bíteš Ing. Markéty Lavické. Podoba trasy závodu se od roku 2015, kdy se jezdí z Velké Bíteše, ustálila. Na závodníky tak čeká celkem 162 zvlněných kilometrů, ke kterým se vydají v pravé poledne.
Úvodní kilometry je zavedou podél dálnice D1 do Brna, kde na 30. km vystoupají na první vrchařskou prémii v brněnských Kohoutovicích. Po sjezdu do Bosonoh projedou depem starého Masarykova okruhu a vydají se zpět na Vysočinu. Cestou přes Říčany a Rosice za obcí Zastávka překonají další nepříjemné stoupání, na jehož vrcholu budou celkem 2x bojovat o body do soutěže o nejlepšího vrchaře závodu. Po prvním průjezdu cílovým prostorem ve Velké Bíteši, kde budou pro změnu každé kolo brát body do sprinterské soutěže, se vydají na zkrácený okruh přes Říčany, Rosice a Zastávku zpět do Bíteše. Závěrečné kilometry si odkrouží na necelém 18 kilometrů dlouhém okruhu severozápadně od Velké Bíteše, který absolvují 3x. Na zvlněném úseku, kde závod obvykle znepříjemňuje silný boční vítr, mezi Vlkovem, Osovou Bítýškou a tzv. Křeptovským Dvorem, se v posledních letech závod zpravidla rozhoduje.
Z této zvyklosti vybočuje loňský ročník, kdy se hned na první vrchařské prémii v Brně utvořila skupinka tří mladých závodníků, která své úsilí dotáhla až do zdárného konce a vytoužený cíl jezdci z úniku viděli o sedm sekund dříve než zbytek hlavního pole. Nejrychlejším ze všech byl největší tuzemský talent posledních let Mathias Vacek v reprezentačním dresu ČR, který však letos vítězství obhajovat nebude. Zásluhou i tohoto výsledku si vyjel smlouvu u profesionálního amerického WorldTour týmu Trek – Segafredo a s největší pravděpodobností bude v době konání „Bíteše“ závodit ve světovém pelotonu.
Otevírá se tak možnost dalším závodníkům. Na startu lze očekávat množství zahraničních účastníků zejména z Polska a Slovenska. Předběžná startovní listina se uzavírá v týdnu před startem, proto konkrétní jména budeme znát za necelé tři týdny. Z pohledu českého diváka bude velmi zajímavý souboj mezi dlouhodobě nejsilnějším českým týmem královéhradeckým Elkov-Kasper, který pro letošní sezónu hodně omladil, a dalším východočeským týmem ATT Investments, jenž naopak přes zimu posílil o zkušené jezdce, z nichž někteří mají zkušenosti i z italského Gira a španělské Vuelty. Ambice si dělá také domácí tým Favoritu Brno, jehož jezdce závodem provede trenér Jiří Hochmann, vítěz „Bíteše“ z roku 2009.
Favorit Brno byl jedním z prvních pořadatelů, který v roce 2016 zajistil internetový LIVE přenos z cyklistických závodů u nás.
