Čepek vyhrál na dráze čtyři závody ve třech dnech
Junior Favoritu Brno Martin Čepek zazářil na Českém poháru na dráze, který se jel od pátku do neděle v Prostějově. Každý den vyhrál závod v olympijském omniu a v neděli ještě ovládl madison spolu se Štěpánem Širokým! V pátečním závodě v omniu navíc skončil Štěpán Telecký druhý a Štěpán Široký bral čtvrtou příčku. V sobotu při dalším vítězství Čepka byl Široký opět čtvrtý a v neděli skončil třetí. „Celá juniorská skupina zaslouží pochvalu, ale největší samozřejmě Martin Čepek. Nepamatuji si, že by někdo dokázal ve třech dnech vybojovat čtyři vítězství. Formu ukázal už na 500+1 kolo, kde skončil druhý, teď potvrdil, že jeho výkonnost má stoupající tendenci,“ řekl šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal. „Martin je na dráze několikanásobným mistrem republiky v kadetech i juniorech, ale neviděl bych ho jen jako čistokrevného dráhaře. Myslím, že podobně dobrý může být i na silnici,“ dodal šéftrenér. Radost mu udělala i žákyně Elen Lazarová, která v neděli omnium vyhrála a v sobotu byla třetí.
