Kadet Vavro šestý na MČR v časovce jednotlivců, La Carbonara čtvrtý mezi žáky. Na Visegradské 4 nejlepší Kmínek

Mládež Favoritu měla mistrovství republiky v časovce a silničním závodě. Kadet Kristián Vavro obsadil v časovce 6. místo. „Čekal jsem určitě víc, minimálně medaili. Bohužel neměl úplně den D a nějakým standardem výkonnosti vybojoval to šesté místo,“ popsal František Trkal. Prvoročák Šimon Matějek byl v časovce mezi kadety 22., starší žák Matteo La Carbonara skončil ve své kategorii čtvrtý. „Smůlu jsme měli v silničním závodě. Matějek byl dvě třetiny odjetý s dalšími dvěma závodníky a byli dojeti čtyři kilometry před cílem. A Vavro se zase dva kilometry před cílem ocitl v pádu a bylo po ambicích,“ litoval šéftrenér. Nejlepším závodníkem byl Filip Richter, který obsadil 24. místo. Cyklisté elitního týmu mužů Favoritu Brno U23 startovali o uplynulém víkendu na dvou závodech seriálu Visegradské 4. Nejprve v sobotu na domácím závodě Brno-Mikulov-Brno a další den v Polsku. Nejlepším z našich závodníků byl v obou případech Vojtěch Kmínek. V sobotu skončil 37., v neděli 26. „Vojta se snažil, byl aktivní a nechal tam maximum. Čekal jsem sice o něco lepší umístění, ale konkurence byla v obou závodech obrovská. Navíc jsme startovali dost oslabeni, protože náš nejlepší závodník současnosti Martin Voltr onemocněl,“ řekl šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal. Vedle Kmínka startovali v sobotu ještě Adam Křenek Štěpán Široký, Dominik Prudek a David Červíček. V neděli už chyběl Křenek, který odletěl s reprezentací na dráhové mistrovství Evropy do Portugalska. „Mám radost, že je zpátky David Červíček. Měl dlouhou pauzu kvůli problémům s kolenem, závodil poprvé od začátku dubna,“ doplnil šéftrenér.
