Junioři Favoritu úspěšní na dráhových závodech v Brně
Junioři Favoritu Brno si vedli velmi dobře na mezinárodních dráhových závodech 500+1 kolo na velodromu v Brně. Martin Čepek obsadil druhé místo a Štěpán Široký skončil třetí! „Junioři jeli závod 300+1 kolo a šli jsme do něj s velkými ambicemi, protože máme opravdu silný tým. Navíc pro nás šlo o domácí závod a chtěli jsme se prezentovat v co nejlepším světle, což se nám povedlo. Z celkového pohledu to bylo velmi dobré týmové vystoupení. Kromě našich dvou lídrů, kteří skončili na pódiu, bych rád pochválil i Štěpána Teleckého, jenž byl celkově 13. Hodně klukům pomáhal, stejně jako Marek Jelínek,“ hodnotil šéftrenér Favoritu František Trkal. Prvenství mezi juniory vybojoval Vlček z Prostějova. Muži Favoritu absolvovali závod 500+1 kolo ve složení Michal Procházka, Vojtěch Kmínek, Josef Čekal, David Kopelent a Adam Křenek. „V mužské kategorii jsme se v té nabité konkurenci jeli hlavně učit. Nejsme dráhoví specialisté, přesto jsem rád, že jsme po několika letech mohli na tento závod postavit hned pět mužů Favoritu,“ dodal šéftrenér. Vítězství vybojoval Polák Sajnok, nejlepší z Favoritu byl 31. Kmínek.
